From the best-sleep-you-ever-got-with-a-cold-medicine department comes a not-such-a-surprise ending to this charming little story—just in time for Father’s Day. Local Dad Richard Bowen had a bit of a problem—it seems the fact that his young daughter was conscious was interfering with his love life. Interfering with his love affair to be more specific. Enter NyQuil!
Author’s note: NyQuil contains rather significant amounts of alcohol, as well as a little ingredient called Dextromethorphan, which is a hallucinogenic drug that crosses the blood-brain barrier.
Is my little pumpkin ready for beddy-bye yet?
Mr. Bowen “…signed a statement indicating that he had given his one daughter Nyquil on multiple occasions.” That little bed-time story has earned him 16 to 42 months in state prison.
